Students will take a Unit 6 Quiz on Thursday and Friday over the data and statistics unit. Students have multiple worksheets to study from including a study guide.
Students will take their Unit 4: Ratios post assessment on Thursday, April 21.

Tomorrow 3/31 and Friday, 4/1 we will be MAP Testing!
Students are to correct any problems that they got incorrect on their test. These corrections are due on Friday, March 18. Students must make test corrections even if they are not planning on re-taking the test.
Students will take the Unit 3B test on Wednesday, March 9. Students have a study guide for this test in which they can study from. Students also have multiple worksheets in which they can also study from.
Students will take their Unit 3A Test on Monday, 2/1. Students will receive a study packet to help them study for their test. They also have multiple resources to study from including their study guide that they received at the beginning of the unit.
Students will be taking home a packet of worksheets reviewing what we have covered so far in Unit 3 Part A. There will NOT be a grade taken on this packet. This packet is only to help students stay in tune with Math class over the Holiday Break!
Students must make test corrections to their Unit 2 Tests even if they are not planning on re-taking the test. These are due on Wednesday.

Students are to finish their test corrections from their Unit 1 Part B test, these are due on Wednesday. Students are also to complete Springboard Activity 7 Practice p.91 #1-55 ODD only which is due on Friday
Students will have their Unit 1, Part B Test on Friday, November 6. This unit test will cover comparing fractions, modeling division of fractions, and the actual division of fractions
This week in Math Class we will be finishing up factoring the GCF out of an addition problem and creating a multiplication problem. On Tuesday and Wednesday we will be taking MAPs testing. The rest of the week we will be learning how to find the lowest common multiple and reviewing for our TEST. We will have a test over Unit One on Tuesday, September 22. This Friday and next Monday will be a review day for the test on Tuesday.
This week we will be learning how to find the Greatest Common Factor of two and even three numbers. Students will also learn how to re-write addition problems by factoring out the Greatest Common Factor. Also, classes will be shortened a few minutes on Friday due to the Faculty/Student Volleyball game at the end of the day! I hope everyone has a great week!!
This week in 6th Grade Math we will be finishing up working on operations with decimals. We will also begin comparing and ordering rational numbers along with finding the GCF of two numbers.
During class today, we finished up our Operations Flip Chart and put it in our Interactive Notebook. We then learned a new mnemonic device for long division, "Does McDonalds Sell Burgers?" We did some example problems using the mnemonic device and completed an exit slip before leaving class!
Today students took a pre-assessment for Unit 1: Number Concepts. Students also worked on a flip chart for synonmys for the four operations. Students are to finish their brainstorm list tonight if they already have not. We will complete these flip charts at school tomorrow!
