Parents, please remember that fitness tests are not calculated into the PE grade. Practice, practice, practice!!! We stress to always try your best but students must build strength, endurance, and flexibility to perform well.
Students Grades 3-5 are tested in the following areas:
Cardiovascular Fitness (Aerobic Capacity): One-Mile Run (Students are timed)
Upper Body Strength and Endurance: Flexed-Arm Hang
Abdominal Strength and Endurance: Curl-Up.
Flexibility: Back-Saver Sit and Reach
Trunk Extensor Strength and Flexibility: Trunk Lift
Body Composition: Height and Weight(The classroom teacher is responsible for this info)
