CCHS Academic Team Wins JV Challenge

The team followed that up by coasting to victory in the JV Challenge Tournament held at Brossart. JV (9th/10th grade) teams from Highlands, Brossart, Pendleton Co. and CCHS competed. In quick recall, the camels won all three matches by an average score of 40-9, the highest average score of any team in the state. CCHS took 1st Place in all six individual categories, with 13 team members winning medals. Anna Morris won 1st Place in Language Arts, with the highest score in the state of KY. Noah Coronado took 1st Place in Social Studies, ranking 5th in the state. In Arts & Humanities, Claire Yungbluth won 1st Place tying for 6th Place statewide. Ethan Taylor was the Science champion, ranking 13th in the state. The team had a clean sweep in Math, with Noah Coronado, Matthew Maines and Anna Morris taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd  respectively. Click here to view complete results.
