Update on Kindergarten Readiness Data Feb. 2014

Last week Governor Steve Beshear announced that 49-percent of Kentucky students started kindergarten ready to learn &  succeed.  In Northern Kentucky,  53% were ready.    For the very first time a baseline has been established  for reaching the Bold Goals for Our Region.

We know what the national and local data says about the importance of high-quality learning environments and developmentally appropriate experiences for young children.    Thank you for partnering with Success By 6®  to accelerate action around the key strategies of family engagement and increasing the quality of child care.

The video below reminds us also of the importance of educational opportunities during the summer months for children prior to kindergarten entry.

Campbell County Schools will have a Readiness Event again this year in late April to educate parents on how to prepare their child for a successful school experience.
