Principal's Message

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed Principal of Grant’s Lick Elementary.  I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such a rich tradition of excellence and community involvement. I have worked with a variety of students' ranging in age from Kindergarten through twelfth grade in my decade of experience in education.  My most recent administrative role was in Kenton County where I served as the Assistant Principal at RC Hinsdale Elementary.  I am eager to begin the work as an educational leader at Grant’s Lick Elementary School and strengthen community relationships to ensure your child’s academic success.

As it has been in previous years, we will continue our commitment to developing the whole child and helping all students expand their academic skills and social competence so that they will be prepared to effectively negotiate the demands associated with living in an ever-changing 21st century.  Beyond the rigors of their academic program, it is our aim to instill within each student the essential principles of pride, respect, and responsibility so that they will become productive and contributing members of society.

This year is going to be amazing as we continue to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant, and help them build relationships while making real-world connections.  As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors-teachers, students and parents-are excited to be here!  This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment.

To our students, I cannot wait to meet you all! I hope that you are excited for this coming school year and that you are out this summer playing and reading books with your family and friends. It is going to be a fun year learning together. If you are nearby the school at all this summer, please stop by and say hello!

In closing, please know that my door is always open to you. I heartily welcome your conversation and positive input throughout this year. Let us always keep our students the primary focus of our work. I look forward to celebrating our collective successes during the 2019-2020 school year.

Best Regards,

Mr. Fangman
