Welcome to 8th Grade ELA!! This year, Ms. Trimbur and I will be co-teachers. This means that you will have 2 Language Arts teachers to guide and support you throughout the year. We are very excited to be working together and we are committed to do our very best to make our class challenging, engaging and fun!
Let me tell you a little about myself. This is my 20th year of teaching. I taught elementary school, as well as middle school, for many years in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I have been in Campbell County Schools for 8 years now. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education (English and English as a Second Language) from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master's Degee in Education in Special Education from NKU. I am currently completing a second Master's Degree in Instructional Leadership. I have two children, Patty and Adrian. Patty is a hair stylist and Adrian is getting ready to move to the University of Louisville to study Political Science. One day he hopes to be a lawyer. I have a dog, Crosley, who really is the best dog in the world! LOL We rescued her from the animal shelter 2 years ago and cannot imagine life without her! :)
I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you tomorrow. Let's have a great year!!
