The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency to help reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
We believe that:
1. opportunities must be provided for all students which promote creative, higher-level thinking through curriculum enrichment during and or after school.
We believe that:
1. the school is an inviting, welcoming, safe, nurturing and clean environment. (i.e. student grouping-families, classroom)
2. student behavior should not infringe on others rights to learn or others rights to teach.
We believe that:
1. all stakeholders (internal & external) are involved in the communication process and its success.
We believe that:
1. all policies should be implemented consistently across grade levels. (i.e. homework, discipline, consequences).
We believe that:
1. parents, families and community members are partners in our children’s’ education. (i.e. parent/community volunteers,parent/teacher, study groups, web-page for support in homework issues).
We believe that:
1. curriculum addresses all students’ needs.
We believe that:
1. assessment should be authentic, varied, and reflective of curriculum and content.
