Congratulations CCHS Technology Student Association Students

The Technology Student Association fosters personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); members apply and integrate these concepts through co-curricular activities, competitions, and related programs.

CCHS Culinary Arts Students Competing in Kentucky Farm to State Junior Chef Competition

Hannah Rauch, James Rigg, Eric Montgomery, Sarah Begley and Sam Ford will be competing at the regional level in the Junior Chef culinary competition in hopes of moving on to the state finals taking place at the Kentucky State Fair in August. Students have developed a recipe that meets specific state guidelines and ingredient requirements.

 

CCHS has the privilege of hosting this competition in the culinary arts department on May 10th at 5pm. Students will be competing against either Montgomery or Bourbon County. Students will be judged by 2 Sullivan University Chefs along with Tina Garland from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.

 

We wish them luck in this exciting event!

EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION

  

The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Kentucky Education Council hosted the 2016 Excellence in Education Celebration on Thursday evening (April 28, 2016), recognizing the investment in excellence from students, teachers, principals, superintendents, business leaders and community partners across the region. This was the fifteenth year for the regional education dinner. Peggy Herald, fifth grade teacher at Grant’s Lick Elementary, was recognized for her outstanding dedication and profound effect on the lives of the children she teaches with a prestigious 2016 Golden Apple Award. She is seen here with her principal, Mr. David Enzweiler and Associate Superintendent of Campbell County Schools, Dr. Shelli Wilson. Other outstanding educators from Campbell County who were nominated include: Elaine Randall from Reiley Elementary, Brad Riley from Crossroads Elementary, Stephanie Allen from Cline Elementary, Melanie Schaefer, District Instructional Coach, Bridgett Brown and Holly Phelps both from Campbell County High School.

Lydia Schneider, senior at Campbell County High School, was the recipient of the Student Leadership Award for exhibiting exemplary characteristics in leadership.  Congratulations!  The future is brighter because of all of you!

Reagor Selected for 16-17 Regional Youth Leadership Program

Congratulations to Sidney Reagor for being selected to represent CCHS in the 2016-2017 Regional Youth Leadership program. Over 130 applications were received and 48 students were selected representing 38 different schools. What an outstanding accomplishment!

Financial Boot Camp for Young Adults

This course will be offered to any junior or senior that seeks to learn more about their financial responsibilities and options after graduation.  Course content will be taught by industry professionals that are knowledgeable in their respective field. The program will be provided at no cost through volunteer service and with Main Street Baptist Church providing the learning space. Note: Any high school graduate (regardless of attending college, technical school, or working full time) is welcome to attend this course. Exceptions will also be considered for high school Sophomores. This course will be offered on Sunday, May 22nd from 9am - 1pm at Main Street Baptist Church.
