Campbell County Receives 3rd National Ranking

In 2013, Newsweek Magazine listed Campbell County High School as one of the best public high schools in the nation based on strong academic and advanced placement programs. In the Spring of 2014, CCS received a second national ranking. The Washington Post ranked Campbell County High School as one of the most challenging high schools in the nation.  This week, Campbell County High School received a 3rd National Ranking.  The Daily Beast ranked CCHS 531 in the nation in its 2014 Top High Schools Report.  In addition to these national rankings, Campbell County Schools is also a "Distinguished” district on the Kentucky State Assessments.  Congratulations students and staff!

CCS Music Educators Honored

CCS has two music educators who received the prestigious honor of being named "Teacher of the Year" for District 6. New addition to our faculty, Joshua Huff, was named as the High School recipient for his outstanding work in Choir while at Dixie Heights H.S. and in Northern Kentucky select ensembles. Melissa Little was named as the Elementary recipient for her innovative lesson designs, leading copious amounts of professional development for her peers, and completing the highest level of Orff Certification for music education.

It is a special accomplishment for our schools to have multiple recipients of this award! In addition, this means CCS has been selected for 5 of the 9 awards in the past three years, including a recipient at all three levels: Elementary, Middle, and High!

Special things are happening in music education in Campbell County Schools! Congratulations Josh and Melissa!
