Governor's Scholars Announced

Every student from Campbell County High School who submitted a Governor's Scholar application at the state level was either accepted or was named an alternate for the program.  10 students earned the right to participate in the program this summer with 2 students being named as alternates.  This is an exceptionally large number of students to be honored from one school and we are very proud of them.  Read on for the list of honorees!

CCHS Arts Students Excel in All-State Awards

Congratulations to Kristin Pangburn, Jessica Ritzman and Maddie Fischer on their recent All-State Art Awards.  Kristin placed 1st in the state in graphic design with Maddie placing 2nd in printmaking and Jessica placing 2nd in jewelry art.  We are extremely proud of each of you!

CCS Awarded 2nd National Ranking

Campbell County High School has received a second National Ranking  with being named "One of America's Most Challenging High Schools by the Washington Post.  This recognition is based on strong Advanced Placement programs.

High schools can achieve national rankings from approximately 3 sources:

  1. Newsweek
  2. Washington Post
  3. U.S. News and World Report

As of today, CCS has achieved national rankings in 2 of the 3 areas. Keep up the great work as we pursue 3 out of 3!


Town Hall Meeting Set for April 17th

A town hall meeting to discuss a regional approach to the NKY Heroin Issue is scheduled for Thursday, April 17th, at the CCHS Auditorium from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by Campbell County Drug Free Alliance, NKY Heroin Impact Response, NKY PAR, Transitions,Inc., NorthKey Community Care, Campbell County Schools Community Education, and Campbell County Schools FRYSC.

FCCLA Shines at State Meeting

Congratulations to the CCHS FCCLA members who attended the  FCCLA State Meeting in Louisville on March 19th - 21st.    The CCHS students competed in STAR Events (Students Taking Action with Recognition) and placed very well. 

A special thank you goes to Brooklee Boots who put in many hours of hard work this year serving as the FCCLA VP of Membership for the entire state of Kentucky. Great job and congratulations to all!

Kindergarten Readiness Fair

Is your child ready for kindergarten?  Join Campbell County educators and community members for our second annual "Kindergarten Readiness Fair" to be held on Saturday, April 19th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Crossroads Elementary School.  Come learn what it takes to be ready for kindergarten as you visit various "readiness" stations hosted by kindergarten teachers, counselors and community members.  Click here for registration information.  We hope to see you there!


Band of Pride Ranks Distinguished

Three CCHS BANDS  attended the state concert band assessment at Collins High School this past week and received DISTINGUISHED rankings for the first time in the 75 year tradition of the CCHS band program.This is a state required event in which each band performs prepared music for three judges and then performs a piece they have never seen before for a fourth judge.This is an incredibly rare and special accomplishment that was only possible because of the hard work and dedication of every single member of the band program. This makes CCHS one of only three high schools in the state of Kentucky with three Distinguished concert ensembles. Congratulations Band of Pride.  We are very proud of you!


Spring College Fair

The 14th Annual Cincinnati Area Spring College Fair will be held on Monday, May 5th, 2014 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00p.m. in the Cintas Center on the campus of Xavier University. 

With more than 150 colleges and universities in attendance, this event is certainly the largest spring college fair in the area.

Grindstaff Named High School Future Civics Leader

Congratulations to CCHS freshman, Emily Grindstaff, on being named a "High School Future Civic Leader" by the Kids Voting Northern Kentucky Organization. Nominated by CCHS teacher, Geoff Besecker, Emily received her award at the annual Kids Voting Luncheon held on March 12th.  We are very excited for you Emily, and look forward to your future leadership of and service to our community!

CCS Robotics Headed to State

  On Saturday, March 8, 2014  over 75 students from Campbell Ridge Elementary, Crossroads Elementary, Reiley Elementary, Campbell County Middle School and Campbell County High School competed in the Campbell County RCX Regional Tournament.  Congratulations to the outstanding Campbell County School District RoboticsTeams who will represent CCS at the STLP State Championship on April 22, 2014. CCHS Seniors Excel at DECA State

 CCHS senior Joe Kremer  won 1st place while his classmate Joe Kidwell earned 4th place in the Sports & Entertainment Marketing Series Event at the recent Kentucky State DECA Conference.  As a result of their outstanding performance they both will be representing Campbell County High School while competing at the DECA International Competition in Atlanta, Georgia in May.  Congratulations boys, on a job well done!


Campbell County FBLA Rocks at Region 4 Conference

Campbell County FBLA traveled to NKU on Tuesday, March 11, for the Region 4 FBLA Conference. CCHS had 46 competitors and 4 chaperones. They came home with 30 trophies and also 3 regional officers...Michael Dumaine, Regional Secretary; Liz Sampson, Regional Reporter; and Kourtnie Ruber, Regional Parliamentarian. Amanda Wilson was awarded the Business Person of the Year Award, Michael Rief was named Who’s Who in Region 4 and Pam Hamons and Barb Brown were recognized as FBLA Outstanding Advisers.  Read on for individual results.

CCHS Spanish Honor Society Shines at State Conference.

Congratulations to National Spanish Honor Society State Conference attendees Rebecca Cuti, Bailey Wert, Olivia Werrman, Anna Johnson, Jay Young, Kaitlyn Weyman, Lacee Crail, Erica Henry, Hayden Hiller, Brooklee Boots, Michael Dumaine and Amber Hohlzschuh on an incredible showing.

 Brooklee Boots earned a scholarship presented by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese, Amber Hohlzschuh won the State Officer General position, and Michael Dumaine will be the 2014-15 SHH Kentucky State President. Due to the hard work and character of these young people, CCHS will have the great honor of hosting  next year's conference where an estimated 300 students will immerse themselves in the Spanish culture and language.  Great job, Camels! 


Campbell County Percussion Ensemble Places Third

Students from CCMS and CCHS attended the Winter Guard International Regional competition the weekend of March 8th and placed third in their class.  This is the first time CCS students have competed in competition at this level in several years, and this puts us in good company with some of the best scholastic music programs in the country.  This group will be attending the WGI World Championships in April.  Best of luck.  We are very proud of you!


Sallee Places 2nd in Shakespeare Competition

Congratulations to Katherine Sallee on winning 2nd place in Cincinnati’s Shakespeare Competition.  Katherine performed a Shakespearean monologue and sonnet in a competition with high school students from the Greater Cincinnati area.  We are very proud of you, Katherine!


Tech Student Association Are Region Stand Outs

Congratulations to CCHS's Engineering Technology Students and Technology Student Association (TSA). They competed at Eastern Kentucky University and brought home Fourteen regional awards including Four1st places, Three 2nd places, and Six 3rd places. Infinite Campus Change for Middle and High School

In order to enhance parent communication regarding missing and/or failing student assignments, notifications will now be sent out on Monday afternoons.  This will allow students and/or parents the opportunity to follow up with teachers the following school day.  Notifications will no longer be sent out on Fridays.  If you have any questions, please contact your school's office by calling 635-6077 (CCMS) or 635-4161 (CCHS).  Thank you!


CCHS Ranks #2 in Northern Kentucky on SAT Scores The high academic achievement continues in Campbell County! Campbell County High School scored #2, just behind Highlands High School, on SAT test scores.  Click here for more information.  Congratulations CCS students and staff!
Campbell County School District is one of four school districts in the state of Kentucky and one of two school districts in Northern Kentucky to receive Kentucky's highest assessment classification "Distinguished - Progressing". Additionally, Campbell is the only county school system in the state to achieve this highest classification for state assessments.

Based on percentile rankings, school districts are categorized as Distinguished, Proficient, or Needs Improvement. Online Cafeteria Payment Option Announced

New Food Service Point of Sale and Online Program for all CCS Cafeterias will begin August 14, 2013. The Infinite Campus Parent Portal will provide you with online access to your student’s food service account activities and also the ability to make online payments.  The old online payment system, Meal Pay Plus was closed out May 25, 2013 and we apologize for the electronic reminders that you may have received recently from Meal Pay Plus.  All account balances have been transferred to the new program.  Please contact Kathy Lauer or Stephanie Caldwell at 859-635-2173 with any questions.


CCS Celebrates Historical Moment

On August 23, 2013, the students, staff and community of Campbell County Schools, in partnership with the Campbell County Board of Education and Superintendent Glen A.
