The Haunting of Cassuis Marcellus Clay

Introduction

We will be going on a field Trip!!!  We will be going to White Hall, the home of a famous emancipator, Cassuis Marcellus Clay.  The famous home is near Richmond, Kentucky, and we will get to see "history re-enacted" by the Eastern Kentucky University drama students.  This "Ghost Walk" promises to be intriguing and mysterious!  Will we see the 'ghost' that is said to haunt the mansion????  Find out all you can about the life of C.M.C and his beloved White Hall.  What will your conclusion be about the "mystery" that surrounds this historical "lion"?

Task

Your task is to gather enough information to make a brochure to educate/inform visitors arriving at White Hall today.  You will fill out the handout to use later when you make your brochure.  Click Handout and print out a copy of the questions.

Process

To accomplish your task you need to:
        1.  "Read" your various sources of information.
        2.  Fill out the handout.
        3.  Organize your key facts into sections/headings.
        4.  Design the layout of your brochure.
        5.  Include any art work.

Evaluation

Your grade for this project will be based on the information given as will as the neatness/appearance of your brochure.  When you brochure is turned in , you may pick up the short quiz that is to be completed at your own desk!  You will enjoy the field trip much more if you know and understand what you are viewing.  You will also be better able to ask questions of our tour guides.  Happy Research!
