Introduction |
Congratulations!!! Premier
Plant Publications heard the news that you are quickly becoming a plant
growth expert. The publishers have been asked to begin a new publication
for elementary school students and they need your help. Premier Plant Publications
would like for you to use your expertise to design a pamphlet or brochure
about plants for their new publication, Primarily Plants.
|
|
Task/Process |
The Editor in Chief of Primarily Plants, formerly known as your teacher, has provided you with resources to find information, as well as guidelines to follow in order to successfully complete your pamphlet or brochure. There is enough information to produce an informative piece. The attractive design and layout of the pamphlet or brochure will be up to you. If you would like to include additional information from your studies of plant growth or other sources, feel free to do so.
As you gather knowledge about
plant growth from the resources provided, you will need to use your journal
to take notes and draw illustrations of information you will include in
your pamphlet or brochure.
Information
in your pamphlet/brochure must include:
plant
parts and the "job" of each part
how
a plant makes its own food
the
importance of plants in our lives
glossary
of terms

Learning Advice |
If you have not found all of the information that you need, you may use information which is available in the classroom. This includes the textbook and PowerPoint presentation.
Now that you have gathered all of your information, you are ready to create your brochure/pamphlet. After making a draft of your work on scrap paper, see your Editor in Chief, to get the paper for your final project.
Remember that your audience
is elementary students.
|
|
Evaluation |
Your project should be accurate,
neat and include all parts required in the task/process section.
See how you will be evaluated by going to the link below. You may print
