PIONEER LIFE

INTRODUCTION:
You have just got home from school, you threw your backpack down on the floor
grabbed a coke, your favorite book "Pioneers".  You holler to Mom you're
going to your favorite reading spot The Tree House, located in the backyard.
You open the backdoor, run outside and nearly FAINT! Your tree house is gone, the trees are gone. All you see  is a big field with funny looking people doing different jobs. Everyone is dressed up different  like the people from your book. "PIONEERS".

TASK:
You must talk to the pioneers. Find out where they are going? Why?
What kind of jobs do they all have in the group? Especially what did the
 children do while on the trail?  You might even find out how to make a pioneer toy.You must do all this before your Mom hollers for you to come to dinner.

PROCESS :You will need a piece of  paper, pencil, and the internet.
Go to the links and list the jobs in a pioneer village.  Write down the trail
the pioneers  are going on, with a detailed map and find out what the
children do while on the trail.

And think you did all this before mom hollered for dinner.  Enjoy.

EVALUATION:Okay! You've traveled the Oregon Trail,ate some dust,visited the Pioneer villages,made a pioneer toy,lost some sleep and smell pretty yucky.Do you still want to be a Pioneer boy or girl?Ask your teacher if you can dress up like a real pioneer and recreate your map of the Oregon Trail.Recreate a pioneer day at school.  Have Fun and Learn!
