Introduction

In this WebQuest your group will take on the role of a movie producer. Walt Disney is looking for a producer to finish making a movie that they had started. They had to fir the last producer because he did not know enough about Native Americans. You will be competing against five other producers for the rights to finish the movie about Native Americans. If you win the rights to the movie you could strike it rich.
 
 

The Task

Your task is to learn about the North American Plains Indians and use that information to win the rights to finishing the movie.

Process

To win the movie rights you will read and follow all the directions. Do not take shortcuts, it might cost you $. When you have finished one page return to this page by using the back button.

Your first site you will visit is a site that describes the shelters in which the Plains Indians lived. Read the entire page and write down what they called their houses and how they made them. Draw a quick picture of the shelter. To begin click the blue link below.

Good job movie producer Walt Disney is impressed. You get to keep going to the next stage. Native Americans had a tradition of telling stories. They would tell stories to teach their children values. At the nest site you will read a story and write down what you think the story was trying to teach you. When you have finished with the story use the back button to return to this page.

The next site you will visit is the beginning of the Walt Disney's movie. Go to the site and answer the questions about Lewis, Clark, and the Native Americans. Get a feel about the movie. When you have finished you will have to click the back button several times to return to this page.

After seeing the beginning of the movie, write down the title on a piece of paper that you would name the movie.

Evaluation/Conclusion
