2017-2018 Kindergarten Registration kindergarten registration

Campbell County Schools will hold kindergarten registration for the 2017-2018 school year starting the week of February 27th. Full-day kindergarten will once again be available on a tuition basis.

Hoop Shoot Winners

Congratulations to Eli Pittman and Ali Powell on their wins in the Elks Lodge Hoop Shoot Contest.  Both students won 1st place for all Campbell County schools in the 9/10 year old bracket. Ali went on to compete in Cynthiana for the regional title and came away with 3rd place! What an awesome job!

CCS Preschool Program Receives 5 Stars

Kentucky All STARS is Kentucky’s expanded five-star quality rating and improvement system for early care and education programs. Studies show that children who attend high quality early learning environments have better math, language and social skills. The unified system serves all early care and education programs that receive public funding including child care centers, Head Start and public preschool. Kentucky All STARS is based on Kentucky’s Early Childhood Standards and research-based indicators of quality. It recognizes programs that have made a commitment to continuous quality improvement.

Each CCS elementary school houses a preschool program classroom and each classroom has been awarded the highest quality rating of five stars. The schools were notified on January 4, 2017 and the quality rating for each program will be in force until 2020. CCS is very proud of our preschool programs.

Camp Innovation: Pathways to College Program for Gifted and Talented Youth (Grades K-6)

Northern Kentucky University’s Camp Innovation Pathways to College Program is an innovative program designed for high potential youth to discover and explore advanced content and engaged learning. All classes provide the opportunity for students to share interests with other children while exploring pathways to intellectual development, academic enhancement, career exploration, and creative artistic fulfillment. Camp Innovation offers transdisciplinary courses infusing entrepreneurship, science, mathematics, social studies, technology, visual and performing arts, and original interdisciplinary studies. Spring 2017 semester courses will be held Saturdays, March 11th - March 25th 

Sessions meet from 9:00 – 11:30 AM 
Classes are held in Landrum Hall at Northern Kentucky University

HOW DOES THE WIND CHILL IMPACT SCHOOL BEING DELAYED OR CLOSED?

During the winter months several factors come into play that could delay the start of school or cause school to be closed. One such factor is the wind chill on a given day.

It has been brought to our attention that there were mistakes in the calendar found in the front cover of our Student Discipline Code Handbook that most likely came home with your child(ren) yesterday.  Please see the attached corrected version of this calendar and replace it with the one found in the handbook
